Excalibur Land Company, Inc. was established in 1995 to manage company-owned farm, timber and pasture land located adjacent to Farmers Rice Mill in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

The activities of the company, which employs a farm manager and an experienced field crew, are primarily devoted to rice production, farmland reclamation and operation and timber and land management. Our farmers plow and cultivate approximately 1,000 acres and maintain over 1,000 miles of levees each year.

Additionally, Excalibur Land Company leases approximately 2,300 acres of farmland and 5,500 of pastureland to tenant farmers and ranchers. In total, these farming operations result in the production of approximately 132,000 hundred weights (300,000 bushels) of rice annually. The unique bond between our farming operations, the committed tenant acreage and the company operated milling operation allows an unmatched level of flexibility to develop rice products from seed to market.

With approximately 1,200 acres of pine, it is important that Excalibur Land Company maintain a program of perpetual growth and natural resource renewal as part of its regular timber management operations. From its 10,000 acres, Excalibur Land Company also sells gravel and rice hull compost and leases property for wildlife hunting, fishing and other recreational activities.
